An Egyptian gold foil scarab, Late Period - Roman, c. 664 BC - AD 200, formed from sheet gold with incised detail. 24 x 21 mm. 0.39 g. Slight deformation but of good quality gold. Cf. Egyptian Museum, Room 44, Catalog Number J-91891 from Abou-Billou; Cf. Arte Primitivo 34, lot 248 for a similar example. Ex Washington, D.C. private collection.
