An Elizabeth II Silver-Mounted Nautilus Shell Ship Ornament by A. F. Kelly of Kendal, Sheffield, 1978

the natural nautilus shell with silver-mounts resembling the decking of a single masted ship, with rudder and single mast, the billowing sail chased with two swans, with assorted rigging and a red bead on one side and green bead on the other, on wood base and under a glass dome the ship 38cm high including base, overall height 54cm Tennants are grateful to Danny Smith, Hallmark Production Manager at the Sheffield Assay Office, for his assistance in identifying the maker’s mark.

Fully marked on side and further part marked on various other sections. The marks are clear. In generally good condition. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
