An Elizabeth II Silver Two-Handled Cup and Cover by Mappin and Webb, Sheffield, 1956

tapering cylindrical and on spreading foot, with scroll-capped handles, the detachable cover with fluted finial, engraved on one side with an inscription 36cm high, 52oz 3dwt, 1,621gr The inscription reads 'Sandown Park Variety Club of Gt Britain Charity Day - September 12th 1959 The Association of Rails Bookmakers Sprint Handicap Presented by Miss Anne Aubrey'.

Fully marked near rim and further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear. Further stamped with makers name underneath. There is some overall minor surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. Rocks slightly when placed on a level surface. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale.
