Height 42 1/2 x diameter of stand 24 inches.

Property of Brett Edwards, Wildwood, Missouri European Furniture & Decorative Arts
The stand in good and sturdy condition with some darkening in coloration and various marks to the meridian ring, as is normal. A few seams therealong as well, but intact and sturdy. The globe fits sturdily in its setting to the base. Yellowing to the map, also as is normal for age. Having an indentation to the globe on the north-east edge of Alaska, and with a minor line of scattered abrasion causing loss to the map to the north and east of New Zealand, with a very small (less than 1/4 inch) dent therealong. The globe has a slightly more yellow, "lacquered" appearance than the meridian ring, suggesting that it might have been more heavily restored than the ring. There is a faint greenish "highlight" to all of the coasts, which might be a later embellishment. Additional images available upon request.
