In overall attractive, stable condition. A few of the butterflies are slightly loose or rotated on their pins. All specimen drawers currently removed for transportation purposes. The cabinet was purchased by the consignor's parents at auction for $65,000 roughly 20 years ago, complete with its specimen collection when it was acquired; it is unknown when the butterflies were collected. Based on the appearance of the cabinet it was likely made in the second half of the 20th century.
