With slightly curved fullered blade adapted from a sword-blade, double-edged over a third of its length to the point, and cut with a narrow fuller along the back on both sides stamped 'ANDRIA FARARA', finely figured hardwood grip of tapering circular section with turned swelling at the base, turned collar and flat horizontal quillons, the latter each terminating in a cast helmeted warrior's head, turned pommel surmounted with a warrior's head en suite, and retaining most of its original gilding
