With tapering fullered blade (light rust patination) double-edged towards the point, cast and chased hilt comprising downbent shell-guard decorated with a reclining figure between two cherubs within a border of linked trophies of arms and foliage, lobed foliate rear quillon, quillon-block with an angel and kneeling figure on one side, and a reclining female figure on the other, knuckle-guard with a trophy of arms on each side and hooked into the domed-cap, the latter decorated en suite and with button, and vertically fluted ebony grip with central silver strap on both sides decorated with foliage
