An English Silver-Mounted Hunting Hanger, Circa 1700, Indistinct Silver Hallmarks, Maker's Mark WK Conjoined
With slightly curved fullered saw-back blade double-edged at the point and inlaid with three copper comet marks on one side, the forte on both sides retaining traces of punched foliate decoration, hilt cast and chased with foliage against punched grounds and comprising lobed rear quillon terminal, downbent shell-guard centred on a bearded male profile bust, and knuckle-guard linked to the pommel-cap, the latter and the ferrule with borders of punched decoration, and natural buckhorn grip
