With short curved blade double-edged at the point and struck on each side towards the forte with a man-in-the moon mark, hilt comprising rear quillon with rounded terminal cast on each side with a cherub's head against a finely punched ground, knuckle-guard cast on each side with a central figure between florets, all against finely punched grounds, the terminal cast and pierced as a foliate monster-head, its nose hooked into the pommel-cap, the latter with cherub's heads, busts of Roman emperors and foliage centred on the tang, and natural buckhorn grip with turned basal collar
