This bangle was a present of King Friedrich Wilhelm IV (1840-1861) to the ancestors of the previous owner. Sold at Christie's Amsterdam on the 12th of september 2001, Lot 177.
The plain gold bangle set at the front with a rose-cut diamond-set crown and initials FW on a rosé-gold ribbed and piqué background, possibly from the workshop of Johann George Hossauer. Inner diameter 58x50 mm.
