An assembled pair of Meissen figures of Pugs, Second-half 19th century
after the 18th century figures by J. J. Kändler, the male sat on its haunches, looking right, the female, outside-decorated, seated on its haunches to the left, her head to the front, her left forepaw raised and her puppy suckling beneath her, the male, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number No. 102., impressed numeral 66 or 99, numeral 13 in brown enamel, the female with cancelled crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, incised model number 118J. No:1169, numeral 16. in red enamel

Condition Report:
Male pug. Some restoration on the left side of its face, and all four paws. Female pug group. Restoration to three paws including the lower part of its rear left leg; the pup's front paws, and rear right paw, and its head.
