An attractive Roman ridged glass jar
An attractive Roman glass jar, Eastern Mediterranean, 4th - 5th Century AD, free-blown, the rounded body with indented bottom and vertical indented ridges around the sides. The neck is short with funnel mouth. H: 3 3/8 in (8.5 cm). Light golden sheen and multicolored iridescence with mottled deposits. Ex Lecker collection, FL, acquired in the early 1980's.
