An early 20thC Chinese large silk embroidered Piano Shawl, the cream ground highly adorned in coloured silk threads with figures, pagodas, butterflies and cockatoos amongst sprigs of peonies, chrysanthemums and blossom, edged in deep macramé knottings and fringing, total size approx. 97in (245cm) square: silk 49in (125cm), macramé knottings 4in (10cm), fringe 20½in (52cm), overall good condition, colours strong, one area of light staining.
