An early George III English provincial baluster tankard by John Langlands I & John Goodrick, Newcastle 1755, with a chairback thumbpiece to the domed cover, the double scroll handle with a heart shaped terminal, later chased with flowers, scrolls and a reserve with a presentation engraving, 18.5cm (7 1/4in) high, 667g (21.45 oz)

The inscription reads Presented to Mr Jonas Bradley for his long & faithful services as Guardian for the Poor, for the Township of Shipley, June 23rd 1843.
