An early Victorian Welsh inlaid mahogany painted arched dial longcase clock, Thomas Heywood of Wrexham, circa 1845, the hood with swan-neck pediment cross banded with rosewood, the arched door flanked by foliate carved and turned full columns, the trunk with marquetry inlaid frieze above an inlaid fret-cut door, flanked by foliate carved columns, the base box with conforming inlay raised on small bracket feet, the 14" (35.5cm) dial painted with rustic vignettes, the chapter ring with black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and signed 'Heywood Wrexham', the eight-day four pillar movement striking on a bell, with two weights, pendulum and winder, 65cm wide x 23cm deep x 236cm high.
