An inscribed Qajar miniature with coat of arms and arsenal stock. Opaque pigments and gold on paper. Persia. Dated 1257 AH (1841/42)
On a background of floral tendrils, a Persian Lion and Sun coat of arms, framed by a further lion and a white horse. Above, a Kinai crown is supported by two angelic figures. Surrounding the composition are various weapons, ammunition, flags, and standards. At the bottom is a five-line inscription in Nastaliq script and dating. Restored.
