An interesting morlach flintlock gun
dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Algeria, Smooth-bore, octagonal, 16 mm cal. barrel, narrowed toward the nozzle, the base with brass rear sight, Liege test-bed stamp and with collection number, fore-sight; tang plated with brass foil, engraved; very rare, iron flintlock, partially covered with brass foil, finely engraved with floral motifs, extremely wide pan and batterie, signed below and probably dated in Arabic. Wooden stock, slightly engraved, with metal inlays, pierced so as the barrel bracket. Iron ramrod. Small parts missing and defects. An outstanding lock, probably of Turkish origin. length 162.5 cm.
