An unusual Tibetan thangka of a tantric deity. Distemper and gold on cotton. 19th century

A white-coloured male deity in yab-yum in the centre, holding a kartika and a skull bowl in his hands, surrounded by various deities in yab-yum, Nyingma teachers and yoginis, to the bottom a flaming space housing wrathful dharmapala deities above the charnel grounds. Beautiful, detailed painting and good colours. Remains of a silk frame mounting. Framed.
Size: 62 x 40 cm
Condition: Some tears and small holes fixed and partially restored, minor pigment loss and slightly discoloured; not inspected outside of the frame.
