Ancient Dong Son Bronze Spear Head

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. late 1st millennium BCE. A cast-bronze spear head with a tapered socketing shaft, a diamond-shaped blade with a sharpened point, and a pair of pierced slits through the widest areas. Thick layers of light-brown and green patina cover the entire weapon. Size: 1.25" W x 6.125" H (3.2 cm x 15.6 cm); 7.875" H (20 cm) on included custom stand.
