Authentic Large Ancient Romano-Egyptian Faience Double-Sided Amulet of the Dwarf God Bes, Lion-headed dwarf-god and protector of the home and children. Romano-Egyptian (c. 30 B. C. 395 A. D.) . Dark Blue-Green Faience (glazed earthenware) with facial features, beard, hands, feet, genitalia and head-dress picked out in a lighter yellow-green faience. Complete and in very good condition. Headdress missing at an ancient break. Very Large example of amulet type. 5. 5 cm tall not including custom stand. 6. 5 cm with stand.
