Ancient Egyptian Faience New Kingdom Lotus Flowers amulets (5), 3500 years old
Five magical Lotus Flower pendants restrung together with small spherical beads. The five lotus flowers 1,3 x 1,5 x 1,5 are molded from turquoise glazed faience. There are 3 amulets with 4 leaves, 1 with 5 leaves and 1 with 6 leaves. The lotus flower amulets were extremely popular during the time of Amenhotep IIIl, also known as Amenhotep the Magnificent, who was the ninth pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. Such beads were threaded as drop pendants, usually in lots of five, on a necklace. The lotus flowers are from the 18th Dynasty.
