Ancient Greek Gnathian Apulian blackware lekythos, having a flared rim, depicting a white and red figure of the winged goddess Nike, seated and holding a offering dish to bulbous body, flanked on the left and right by scrolling decoration with line borders to lower neck and lower body above a footed base. 6 3/4" H x 4" dia. Circa 340 B.C.E.
Condition Report: Overall good condition areas of loss to polychrome, with fleabites, largest 3/8". Dirt encrustation primarily to rim. 1/2" x 2 1/4" area of repair to base.
