Ancient Central Europe, Danube region, Hallstatt culture, ca. 10th to 8th century BCE. A cast-bronze bracelet of a minimalist design with a pair of tapered terminals that meet just past the tips. The exterior surfaces of the bangle are delicately incised with striated linear motifs that, when combined with the lustrous forest-green patina, imbue it with an elegant and attractive presentation. Size: 3.25" W x 3.125" H (8.3 cm x 7.9 cm); (interior diameter): 2.6" W (6.6 cm)

Provenance: ex-estate of Eldert Bontekoe, Pegasi Numismatics, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, acquired before 2000
