Ancient Roman Bronze Exceptionally engraved Bezel with an image of an young Octavian Augustus. Only the bezel well preserved (the ring is broken in antiquity) but deeply and precisely cutted with exceptional portrait characteristics seen from his profile. Accurately engraved hair and determination in his eyes full of confidence and and faith in his greatness. The role that he played further is probably the most important for the whole development of the roman empire. Some corrosion but with a lovely emerald like green natural patina. Extremely rare. Size: 2,2cm. Item No. K93 Purchased by the current owner in 2011 in Austria, Wien from Collector fair. Collected Since: 1970's. Previous owners history: Old Austrian Private Collection.
