Ancient Roman Ceramic Oil lamp with bird decoration - potter mark L.MADIEC

Roman oil lamp in ceramic with orange red glaze. Pear-shaped tank, round spout, raised handle and pierced with a hole. The disc is concave, bounded by three hollow circles. It is adorned with a large-tailed bird, surmounted by a palm. Particularity: a metal part protrudes from the drilling of the disc that it obstructs, this rod is fixed in the earthy deposit contained in the lamp Under the base, a potter's brand, "L.
