A Roman Tunisian red terracotta oil lamp; type Leibendgut XXXVII. The discus decorated with a horse galloping right, surrounded by decorative geometric patterns; standing on a low ring base; solid handle to rear. Very Fine condition. Roman colonies of Northern Africa (Tunisia) : Circa 450-550 AD. Provenance: From the collection of Arno Jumpertz, Leverkusen, Germany, 1924-1984 with his collection card. Much of the collection was exhibited at Neus museum, 1985 NB. Not supplied with display stand. This lot is Guaranteed to be Authentic and Genuine and will include a Certificate of Authenticity.
