Ancient chest (1) - Wood - 18th century

Antique wooden chest finely carved with female figures (caryatids) . A museum-worthy piece. The frontal part also has carved scalloped cornices, rosettes and a central cartouche. The chest rests on supports carved in the shape of lion's paws. In very good condition with some light wear due to time. Purchased in 1997 and paid 8,500,000 Italian lire (the purchase invoice has been kept and can be shown if needed, but is not present in the photos of the lot for privacy reasons) . The piece is preserved in good condition, it has undergone some old restoration work. Shipping with professional packaging due to the fragility of the piece.
