Lithograph made at Atelier Mourlot on November 4, 1970 on the occasion of the presentation of works from the Pierre Levy collection.Atelier Mourlot - founded in Paris in 1852 by Francois Mourlot became one of the most important lithography printing studios in the 20th century. Lithography, as a genre in art, was particularly popular in the early 20th century. Developed by Alois Senefelder in 1798, it reached its fame in 1880, when it began to be practiced by artists such as Jules Chéret, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard. After 1945. Atelier Mourlot began working with artists such as Matisse, Georges Braque, Georges Rouault and Joan Miró.
