Closing weight, 7-part and heavy 2 Cologne Marks, bronze, Nuremberg, exterior only decorated with double turning rings. Filed notches on the underside with which it is brought to weight.
Marked on the top of the lid: “crossed key and arrow”, maker's mark / master sign 'arrow and key crossed + AZ = Andreas Zickengeist (Ziegengeist) ; Meister No 952, 1681 - 1721, Nuremberg.
Eight stars are stamped into the rim of the largest bowl.
In the bottom of the barrel the number 1 (mark) and the letter V which is also in the largest bowl.
In the second, third and fourth bowls the stamp of a hand with outstretched fingers is struck, standing for Antwerp. The third bowl has the weight indication 8 (lead) .
The smallest weight/closing piece and the smallest bowl are not original, and take the place of the original smallest bowl and the equally heavy closing piece.
The hinge has an old repair with an iron spacer.
The closing weight weighs approximately 900 grams.
