Anthony van Dyck painted several versions in the early 1630s. These are now at Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna, Liechtenstein Museum, Vienna, and Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam.
Provenance: Møllerup manor house.
Condition Report:Old retouches under varnish. Some peeling. In some places the paint has come off. In some places the paint is thin. The surface is very stained, there is candle wax. Lots of crackling.
