Genuine antique hand colored lithograph window poster for the 1920 silent film "Stolen Moments" showing Marguerite Namara and Rudolf Valentino in their roles as Vera Blaine and Jose Dalmarez.
The limited edition of these film-theater window posters was created by the Pioneer Film Corporation, the distribution company for the movie release in December 1920.
Antique hand lithography poster on thin cardboard, reduced on two sides [see photos]; 12" x 15.1/2" [c.30.5cm x 39.4cm]; small nail holes on the edges of vertical sides, slightly damaged right side [see photo], bent right corner, the backside is stained and shows some aging. Good Condition.

"Stolen Moments" is a 1920 silent film starring Marguerite Namara with Rudolph Valentino playing a villain, the last film in which he played one. It was released in December 1920, just a few months before Valentino was elevated to stardom by his performance in "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" (released March 6, 1921). In fact, filming of "Stolen Moments" was expedited so that Valentino could make it to Hollywood before filming began on "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse."
Rodolfo Alfonso Raffaello Pierre Filiberto Guglielmi di Valentina d'Antonguella (1895-1926), known professionally as Rudolph Valentino, was an Italian actor based in the United States who starred in several well-known silent films including "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse", "The Sheik", "Blood and Sand", "The Eagle", and "The Son of the Sheik".
He was an early pop icon, and a sex symbol of the 1920s, who was known in Hollywood as the Latin Lover (a title invented for him by Hollywood moguls), The Great Lover, or simply Valentino. His premature death at the age of 31 caused mass hysteria among his fans and further propelled his status as a cultural film icon.
Marguerite Namara (born Marguerite Evelyn Cecilia Banks (1888-1974), was a classically trained American lyric soprano whose varied career included serious opera, Broadway musicals, film and theater roles, and vocal recitals, and who counted among her lifelong circle of friends and acquaintances many of the leading artistic figures of the first half of the twentieth century.
