Antique Chest and Tabarro Hangers in Solid Sicilian Walnut Late 1800s (2) - Solid Walnut - Late 1800s

Antique solid walnut wood chest and tabard hanger Palermo, Sicily, late 19th century. The state of preservation of the two contemporary artefacts is excellent, they have never been tampered with or altered in their morphology and originality, there are no breaks or missing parts. Chest Made of solid walnut wood, it features moulded upper and lower edges. The front has a panel in the centre, at the sides pilasters carved in cartouche within phytoform volutes. The whole rests on a plinth composed of smooth moulding and carved shelf feet. Dimensions: length 84. 5 cm with/depth 43. 5 cm height 48. 5 cm Tabard hanger The frame, made of solid walnut wood, has a richly carved, moulded upper edge. The front has a panel in the centre, hangers and central knob. Two crescent-shaped hangers on the sides, carved with a phytoform motif, in the centre a turned knob. The pilasters are carved both on the front and on both sides, also with a phytoform motif. Dimensions: length 118. 5 cm with/depth 30 cm height 33 cm
