[ translate ]

A diamond is, at it’s essence, just carbon, very specific and well-organized carbon. It’s pressurized and heated for a billion years, buried hundreds of miles beneath the grassy meadows and birch tree forests of the Earth’s surface. A deep-source volcanic eruptions tears a piece of the mantle, where this carbon sits, and carries it toward the surface. It cools. We discover it, we polish it, we cut it. Then it deservingly gets adorned onto a sapphire and gold ring that somebody very lucky will wear while sipping dandelion tea as these stones, full of history and rareness, glisten in the daylight.; This fantastic antique sapphire and diamond gold ring was handcrafted in Birmingham, England, in 1912. There are two round deep blue sapphires weighing approximately .89 total carats patterned between three yellow Old European cut diamonds, weighing approximately 1.19 total carats. The center diamond measures 5 mm in diameter and 4.2 mm in depth. This size 6.75 ring was made in 18 karat gold and weighs 4.2 grams. The ring face measures 5.8 x 20 x 5.1 mm off the finger and the band width is 2.6 mm at the back. This beautiful classic ring has been fully hallmarked. It bears the date letter, “n” for 1912, the gold purity mark, “18”, the anchor mark for Birmingham, the crown mark for England, and a maker’s mark.; A ring like this is one for the ages, it’s of sturdy diamonds and precious sapphires. It’s a ring that would work great as a gift to a loved one, including yourself.;
