Antique French Gilt Ormolu & Enamel Jewelry Box
DESCRIPTION: An antique french gilt ormolu and enamel jewelry box. This is an oval lidded box, crafted with floral and garland motifs and with an enamel hand painted scene on lid depicting a garden amorous couple with a young girl reading a book and a young boy playing a stringed musical instrument. This scene is hand painted in colors such as pink, purple and celeste blue and is signed on lower right corner "Gamet". The lidded box has a velvet padded interior and is marked on the bottom "France".
CIRCA: 20th Century.
ORIGIN: France.
DIMENSIONS: W: 8 1/2" H: 3 1/4".
