A magnificent antique German solid silver gilt Minaudière embellished with a chased silver cat in deep relief on the front of the case, with the back of the cat on the back cover. The cat is inset with precious jewels with ruby eyes and an emerald and diamond bow. The Minaudière has two cabochon rubies inset into the push clasps. The interior has two compartments in the front cover and a single compartment in the back with a mirror on one side of the hinged lid and cream writing tablet on the other and a hinged card holder inside. The Minaudière has an attached chain.
Made in Pforzheim, Germany in circa 1900 by Louis Kuppenheim.

This Minaudiere is in excellent condition with no damage.
