Exquisitely fine hand blown cobalt glass cut back from white overlay glass bowl, pronounced fluted design with elaborate pronounced everted serpentine border and rim, intricate hand painted gilt highlights, raised on repousse Continental silver double winged sejant lions, all on silver pedestal with acanthus leaves, rocaille and floral-foliate design and scroll feet; marked on silver base. Provenance: old private collection, Pittsburgh, PA, by descent in the family to the current owner.
