Oliver.
Father Schmidt (SVD) was based in New Guinea in the 1920s through the 1930s. Douglas L. Oliver conducted fieldwork in Bougainville, Solomon Islands in 1938. Ledoux was a 1935 Harvard graduate, and Oliver was a 1934 Harvard graduate, as well as Research Associate at the Peabody Harvard Museum of Ethnology and Archaeology from 1936-1941. Oliver conducted fieldwork in Bougainville, Solomon Islands in 1938. His numerous published works include journal articles, museum papers, and books. Douglas L.
