Western and Central Asia. First, Jemdet Nasr, ca. 3100 to 2900 BCE. A trio of two stone and one shell bovine and avian amulets/beads. Also, Turkmenistan, Namazga-Tepe, Namazga II, ca. 2000 BCE. A collection of five double-sided, disc-shaped amulets carved from stone. Size of largest: 1.05" W (2.7 cm)

Provenance: private Matrisciano collection, Thousand Oaks, California, USA; acquired in 1990s from Malter Galleries, Los Angeles, California, USA
