Karamzin was a distinguished Russian historian of the early 19th century (see Vucinich, Science in Russian Culture to 1860). The atlas is based on his major work. A first edition was published in 1831. P-LG 3111. The first edition is P-LG 3098.
Condition Report: Wear and staining to boards with areas of loss to paper and spine cloth; spine and top board along with title page detached from text block; interior otherwise sound, with toning and scattered foxing, a few creases and irregular folds; interior very good.
