Condition Report: Lined canvas. Faint frame abrasion at bottom of left edge. Surface dirt and dust. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Not examined out of frame due to size.
Under UV: heavily-applied varnish fluoresces green unevenly, somewhat obscuring the picture surface. Apparent strengthening applied to white highlights darkest pinks of the fabric, which fluoresce slightly. A few small brushy spots of retouching to the background. A finely applied dash of retouching to the figure's proper left cheek.
