Condition Report:
The urn and column largely retains its fine original polish. There is dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are some reattachments and restorations which are visible from the catalogue photographs. There are various restored breaks to the upper parts of the urn and to the snakes. There is also a slight open but stable vein to one edge. Yellowing to the interior. The socle carved separately. Restored breaks/ reattacenys to some of the edges and corners of the socle. The column in sections. Various minor losses and abrasions to the edges of the column. Plaster fill between the joints. Some yellow and dirty marks. A few minor scratches to the top. Generally the condition is otherwise good.
