In a gilt metal frame, the reverse later engraved Sir Edward Harley, signed Cleyn 1641

Condition Report:
Light surface dirt and scratches throughout. A slightly more significant surface scratch running vertical to the left edge by the date (approx. 2cm). There is some flaking and associated loss to the extreme centre right edge which is visible in the frame. Several further, smaller losses to the sitter's lower body armour. Some very fine craquelure to the darker pigment, mostly confined to the extreme edges. Unexamined out of glazed frame.
