\Artist: Auguste Toulmouche (Nantes, 1829 – Parigi, 1890) - Cerchia di
Technique: Oil on canvas\Signature: Hand signed\Dimensions: 88. 5_73_4_cm
Circle of Auguste Toulmouche (Nantes, 1829 - Paris, 1890) , Maternal love, oil on canvas, dimensions 67. 5 x 50. 5 cm, signed. The work is signed in an abbreviated way in the lower left: the A is recognized as the first initial while the initial of the surname and the subsequent letter are not clearly read. Since the work does not have studies or certifications and is not fully signed, we believe it more correct to propose it as a "circle of Toulmouche" at a lower price, but the quality of the work is very high and fully compatible with the artist. This large and beautiful painting presents a subject known in the catalog of Auguste Toulmouche (Nantes, 1829 - Paris, 1890) , who proposes it with different variations of clothes and colors, and in different settings. At least two versions are known, and the one proposed here is a third with variations in the setting, in the clothes and in the expressions of the two figures. It is a painting of the highest pictorial quality, which moves for the delicacy and elegance of the subjects. The work is in excellent condition. It is on the first canvas with original frame, the pictorial surface is intact and the tension of the canvas is still perfectly satisfactory. We point out that the stop of the frame has slightly marked the canvas at the top and bottom margins. Also, a small abrasion in the upper right corner. Traces of signature in the lower left corner, as reported. Important original coeval frame in carved and gilded wood, of French production. Work with Certificate of Authenticity and Legitimate Origin. The work is shipped by express courier 24/48 hours with INSURANCE. We inform you that in case of SALE ABROAD the shipment can be made only AFTER HAVING OBTAINED THE EXPORT AUTHORIZATION OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURAL HERITAGE (Certificate of Free Movement of Fine Arts) . This practice generally involves a WAIT of about 20 days. At present, due to the measures to contain the Covid 19 epidemic, waiting times could be longer. Shipping costs for abroad include the cost associated with the Fine Arts export practice and any customs procedures. Customers wishing to receive a registered invoice are reminded to provide their TAX CODE for issuing the electronic invoice by sending a message immediately after payment.
