[ translate ]

Cotton 20's/30's authentic Amish quilt, all treadle machine pieced and hand quilted, with vibrant colors and an unusual sunflower design. It measures 78" X 86" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional age stain and no wear. The quilting is superb, with quilting around the piecework and in dense grid, straight line, feathered, and tulip designs in the background, all at an even 10-12 stiches to the inch. The back is solid pink, the hand stitched binding is yellow, and the batting is thin. An attached hand written note identifies the maker: "Made by Mrs. Relda Wellenbuscher (born in 1870) La Grange, MO. Early 1900 hundreds."
