A very large collection of letters, notes, clipped signatures and papers related to various writers, journalists, musicians and actors, including: Ouida (pen name of Maris Louise Rame); Laurence Housman (typed verses, with handwritten corrections initialled L.H.); Arthur Wing Pinero (typed letter saying "It will be impossible for me to get to the Comedy Theatre on Monday", 9 January 1895) George du Maurier (1834-1896) writer and cartoonist; Richard Dimbleby (typed note); Arthur Christiansen (typed letter about "writing a biography of Roy Thomson", 5 July 1962); Bonamy Dobree (typed note to P.S. Jones, saying in part "I should have saved myself a great deal of trouble if I had been a little more careful and had said Coleridge's version of Johnson's famous parody", 28 September 1934); Wilhelmina Stitch; Ernest Raymond; James Stern (group of handwritten and typed notes); Leopold Maxse (typed letter to Douglas Murray, reading in part "The observation to which you refer was intended to emphasise the economic value of India to the Empire, as it called attention to the little known fact that at the present moment India is our principal granary", 10 January 1905); James Reeves; Robert Williams Buchanan (ordering some volume from a catalogue); Sir Frederick Wedmore (two letters regarding contracts and performing rights, 19 and 20 July 1898); H.
