A selection of letters, notes, document’s and clipped signatures by various members of the British Royal Family and European monarchs, including: William IV as Duke of Clarence (signed envelope); Queen Adelaide (fragment of a letter); King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy; Baron von Pawel-Rammingen, husband of Princess Frederica of Hanove; a small collection of doodles on meeting notes marked as “Prince Albert’s drawings May 12th 1851”; Edward VII as Prince Albert Edward (letter signed in his capacity as President for the English Section of the French Exhibition, asking Vincent Robinson "if you would undertake to act as juror for class xxi (Carpets, Tapestry, etc)", three pages, affixed onto card, 4to, Hotel Bristol, Place Vendome, 14 May 1868); manuscript letter dated 1792 in English to Catherine the Great of Russia, signed "J.R."; signatures of the Spanish delegation to the funeral of King George V (1936); Charlotte Knollys (letter on behalf of the Princess of Wales, later Queen Alexandra) ;programmes for Queen Victoria’s funeral procession (1901); an medium-sized archive of letters of Scottish peers to John Spottiswoode of London, from 1800 onwards; two autograph letters from William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire to John Sainsbury, one reading "I have been so much engaged that till yesterday I could not examine the record of your interesting collection and admire ethe selection of memorials of Napoleon made by you with so much success. With respect to your proposal that I should become the possessor of your museum, I decline it with many thanks, no longer wishing to augment my collection, n.d.; a signed power of attorney deed for Lord Sussex Lennox, 1828; Lord Thomas Erskine (autograph letter saying he will wait before giving his answer on a certain matter, 1808); memorial for Lord Sherbrooke (1811-1892) in the hand of Lord Selborne (1812-1895); also including some letters, notes and clipped signatures from various politicians, including: Robert Peel (signed order of payment); a handwritten memorial text in honour of Charles James Fox; a sketch of Walmer Castle, the last residence of the Duke of Wellington; John Bright (autograph letter saying he will try to dine with the recipient if his various engagements will allow him, 25 June 1876); and others, v.s., late 18th century-20th century
