BATMAN FOREVER (1995) - Two-Face's (Tommy Lee Jones) Light-Up Helicopter Model Miniature - Two-Face's (Tommy Lee Jones) light-up helicopter model miniature from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. Two-Face, formerly Harvey Dent, flew his helicopter through the Ocu-Wash sign and into the face of the Lady Gotham statue in the film's opening sequence. The combination live-action and model miniature sequence served as audiences' introduction to Schumacher's unique new vision for Batman, with bolder colors and more elaborate action sequences. This miniature, based on a Sikorsky S-62A, was built for the sequence by Private Gardens model supervisor John Merrritt and originates directly from his personal collection. It features a black fiberglass body, clear plastic windows, red Two-Face yin-yang symbols on the sides, two mounted resin machine guns, removable metal blades on the top and tail, and a detailed Two-Face figure in the cockpit. Lighting elements inset throughout are powered by a 9-volt battery in the helicopter's underbelly. Its motors have been removed since production, and it includes a gray display base. Also included is an 8" x 10" (20.25 cm x 25.5 cm) film still from the helicopter sequence labeled "Batman Forever - 1/8th scale miniature." In addition to production-applied silver-color lines meant to resemble scratches, the model exhibits some scuffing and tape on the tail. Dimensions: (displayed) 82" x 65" x 28" (208.5 cm x 165.25 cm x 71.25 cm) Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide. Contains mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide. Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide. Additional Provenance: Letter of Authenticity from Merritt. Estimate: $10,000 - 20,000 Bidding for this lot will end on Tuesday, March 12th.
