Large foil (approx. 460x310x150 mm. binding). Engraved head-title, 11 engraved full-page portraits of the elector, 3 engraved full-page portraits (of Martin Luther, Frederick III of Saxony and Moses), 32 engraved plates (of which 1 full-page plate with text verso) and 7 partly folding engraved maps. (Incl. the 11 engraved part-titles). Engraved title with about 11 cm long tear, 2 plates with tears and old tape repairs (Luther and Moses), 2 plates with minor tears to margins, some minor foxing, 1 map with tear. Text with minor tears to margins, some repairs, mostly to margins, overall some minor spotting or foxing, some steam stains to margins.

Contemporary pigskin binding with blind-tooled decor, in the center of the boards metal figures of Jesus and Moses (verso), metal corners with the four evangelists, decorated metal clasps and fittings with angel heads, spine in compartments, red edges (partly worn and darkend, some damages to upper part of spine and outer part of upper board, leather worn to clasps, lower board with many tiny wormholes).
