Fourth edition (first 1699, with fewer ill.) of this cosmographical work by the French engineer to Louis XIV, cosmographer and mathematical instrument builder N. Bion (1652-1733). He made astronomical instruments in his own workshop in Paris where he sold globes and spheres. Ill. with an engr. headpiece showing scientific instruments and globes dedicated to the king, signed N.G. and 52 numb. engr. pl.
