BMW - E3 3.0 Si - 1974

[ translate ]

BMW E3 3. 0 Si from 1974 in very good condition. The bodywork of the E3, also called New Six, was designed to make it a worthy rival of Mercedes-Benz in the 1970s. This unit was sold in France in 1974 and it was in use until 1980, when it was confiscated due to trafficking. It remained in the Spanish customs until 2010, when it was auctioned. Therefore the low odometer reading of the vehicle is consistent with its history and condition. It has a six-cylinder (M30) engine with 3000 cc, injection and a power of 200 HP. Connected to a 4-speed manual gearbox. The following works have been carried out since 2010:
- Vehicle painted in its original Fjord Metallic colour, including disassembly of the car to check whether there was hidden rust.
- Interior reupholstering.
- Custom mats made by an upholsterer.
- 14” BBS-Mahle rims with Toyo tyres.
- Spark plug wires, ignition coil, thermostat, rotor, water pump and auxiliary belts.
- Injectors cleaning.
- Replacement of crankcase gasket.
- Brake lines and rebuilt front brake calipers.
- New rear silencer.
- Repaired heating. This superb E3 has only travelled 7000 km since its fine-tuning. The car is used only in classic car events and BMW gatherings. The engine is in perfect running order (starts always at the first try) , both when cold and when warm. Steering is precise, with no play, together with an effective suspension. The gearbox works perfectly, as well as all gauges in the car. As minor flaws due to age:
- Small crack on the dashboard.
- Chipped chrome of right headlight.
- Chrome-plating of grill - small dent. See pictures. The car has a valid vehicle inspection (ITV) . This car is in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) , Spain. Offers do not include transport or export, unless otherwise indicated.
